12/11/2011 - Very few shows over the last few months due to be very busy with our latest editions - Cyan's adorable babies!! Babies are growing so fast, and it is with excitment we wait to see what they turn into.

Today was the last show of the year for my Kimyata Gang with Aust Ch. Jonja Finders Keepers (Imp NZ) winning a nice R/Up Best of Breed for his handler Kate Pinker at the Sunshine Coast Kennel Club show under judge Ms C Currie (SA). Kate and Maui make a wonderful team together and it is obvious how much they adore each other.

04/11/2011 - One of my last shows for the year and "Oreo" Aust Ch / NZ Ch  Kimyata Puddle O Mud wins a nice Best of Breed at Tweed River Agricultural Show Society under Judge Mrs C. Butler (NSW). This was my first time showing at Murwillumbah and it was such a beautiful area. I enjoyed a relaxing day out with my dogs.

This gives Winter the final points she needs for Australian Championship title. HUGE Congratulations to her owner Ashleigh Maclot on finishing Winter's title at 12 months and 12 days. Excellent job guys!!!

This was Kate’s second weekend of showing and check out the results...

Winners are Grinners... Mr Oreo.

04/09/2011 - 3 shows this weekend at Wondai, again with some more great results. First show under Ms Y Smith (TAS) "Oreo" wins R/Up Best of Breed and "Winter" continues her roll with a Reserve Bitch CC and Puppy in Group. Second show under Ms K. Tosi (QLD) "Oreo" wins Best of Breed and goes on to win Best Exhibit in Group / Open in Group. The Japanese Spitz had a bit of a roll after that taking out most of the classes in Group, with "Molly" also taking out the Reserve Bitch CC and Minor in Group. The judge later commented on the high quality of Japanese Spitz entered. Isn't that nice?! Last show for the weekend under Mr N Clark (NZ), I managed to accidentally stand on "Oreo's" foot before walking out for the Dog CC, Oreo stood on 3 legs for the Challenge line-up but still managed to take out the Reserve Dog CC... Poor munchkin. "Molly" took out the Reserve Bitch CC and "Winter" took out another Puppy in Group win. Things get a bit quiet here show-wise as we have a very pregnant Cyan due the end of September... Exciting times. :)

"Maui" and "Oreo" play up to the camera.

28/08/2011 - After a break from the ring for the first part of August, we finished it in style. Heading once again to Rockhampton for the weekend with some wonderful results. We were also joined for the weekend by some friends from NSW and VIC who travelled up to meet Ash and I and all our dogs... Was a wonderful weekend spent talking all things spitzy. Is always nice to put some names to faces.

At the first show under Mr P. Martin (SA) "Oreo" was awarded a 10pt Best of Breed, was Shortlisted for Best in Group and went on to win State Bred in Show. The judge commented when awarding the class in show "Told you I liked him", before stating that we worked wonderfully as a team and Oreo was a true showman - Always great to get some positive feedback. "Maui" was Reserve Dog CC and Runner Up Best of Breed, "Molly" was Bitch CC and "Winter" Reserve Bitch CC. So excellent results. There was a PM show that night, which turned out to be a bit of a wash with a huge storm coming through and flooding the grounds. Miss M. Joyce (VIC) awarded "Oreo" R/Up Best of Breed, "Molly" Bitch CC and "Winter" Reserve Bitch CC. No JS went up in Group.

Last show for the weekend was a change of judge to Ms C. Pearon (QLD), after the storm the night before the show was moved to higher grounds and it actually turned out to be a nice day. Again some great results - "Oreo" was Best of Breed and State Bred in Group, "Maui" was Reserve Dog CC and Runner Up Best of Breed, "Winter" was Bitch CC and "Molly" was Reserve Bitch CC and Minor in Group.

I also showed my Mum's Cavalier.K.C.S "Cash" Kahleyvale Walk the LIne to 3 x Minor of Breeds and a Minor in Group under Ms D. Norman. Cash is currently the #1 C.K.C.S in QLD on the DOL Rising Star Pointscore.

Howell (WA) commented that she was familair with the breed having a friend exhibit them in WA, she had some lovely comments about my dogs and also picked up the relationship with all those exhibited... so a nice compliment.

Photo of Molly taken after her RUBOB.

17/07/2011 - Great weekend for "Molly" Coleisha Good Golly Miss Molly at 6 months of age and just going up into Minor Puppy wins 2 x Bitch Challenges and a R/Up Best of Breed (even beating Oreo). Very proud of Miss Molly on such a great start to her Minor Puppy career. Big Congratulations also go to Molly's brother Alex who won R/Up Best in Group at his first show in Minor Puppy... such an amazing feat for such a young pup - Huge Congrats to their breeder Beth Coleman on breeding such promising puppies.

03/07/2011 - Another great weekend... Very proud of "Oreo" Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud on winning yet another R/Up Best in Group, this time at Durack's Beaudesert Kennel Club Show on Sunday under Mr R. Ness (NZ). Mr R. Ness (NZ) also seems to be a regular to our shores recently judging the Asian Breeds Dog Club of NSW only a few months prior. Oreo performed beautifully and I couldn't have been prouder, as the show received quite a large entry (compared to recent times). Yay Oreo!!!

I also attended Redclifee Show Society on Friday under Judge Mr Sherri with "Molly" Coleisha Good Golly Miss Molly the star for the day winning Best Baby in Group. This is to be Molly's last Baby in Group as she moves up with the big kids for her next lot of shows mid July. We also got some new photos of Molly taken by professional photographer PawSnaps and the proofs are just stunning. Watch this space...

Miss Winter and her proud Mum Ash Maclot.

Luxton (SA) and Mrs C. Speed. Winter also adds another impressive Reserve Bitch CC win to her credit, which was over mature bitches... and I must add VERY close to taking the Bitch CC again.

Winter is also currently sitting in the #1 Position on the Japanese Spitz Rising Star Pointscore National, a position she has held all year!! This little girl is sure impressing us every day! Go Winnie!!

Oreo, Molly and Cyan enjoying their break between shows, its a hard life as a show dog. ;)

04/06/2011 - Had an awesome weekend at Bundaberg staying with our great friends who spoilt us rotten. The fur kids also bought home a bunch of ribbons and points. On the Thursday we attended Bundaberg Show Society under judge Mr D. Palmer with "Molly" and "Winter" winning their classes in group, and "Oreo" winning Best of Breed and "Cyan" winning Bitch CC and R/Up Best of Breed. With no shows on Friday we took it easy and took the advantage to take some happy snaps of the kids playing together, you can see some of these on the gallery page. Saturday we headed to Gin Gin Show Society under judge Mrs D. Fenton (NSW) who awarded "Oreo" Best in Group and Open in Group... Very exciting... - "Molly" also won Baby in Group, "Cyan" was Bitch CC and R/Up Best of Breed and "Winter" Reserve Bitch CC. "Oreo" wins another R/Up Best in Group...

20/05/2011 - Awesome day at Gympie today under judge Mrs PE Johansen (QLD), "Oreo" Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud was awarded Best of Breed with a nice breed entry and went on to win R/Up Best in Group and Open in Group. Not to be outdone "Maui" won Intermediate in Group and "Molly" Coleisha Good Golly Miss Molly got a great look for Baby in Group but alas wouldn't stand still. PLUS Mum's boy "Denver" Aust Ch. Barlency Country Mile ALSO won R/Up Best in Group 1 and went on to take Baby in Show with "Cash" Kahleyvale Walk the Line. Ended up being a great day out... Don't have any shows now until June - A nice needed break.

16/05/2011 - Headed south this weekend to Grafton NSW with good friend Ash Maclot. Grafton offered 5 shows over 3 days, an offer we coudn't refuse. However the weekend ended up being 4 shows after some car problems, but had an awesome time catching up with some lovely people and meeting some new ones. Nice results for the kids "Maui" Aust Ch. Jonja Finders Keepers (Imp NZ) won 1 x RUBOB, "Oreo" Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud won 1 x BOB and 1 x RUBOB and "Molly" Coleisha Good Golly Miss Molly was Baby of Breed all 4 shows... I also won a Dog CC & RUBOB with Mum's Cavalier Boy "Denver" Aust Ch. Barlency Country Mile. We are already discussing next years trip. LOL

08/05/2011 - Gee the Kimyata Clan have been having a great run lately... Sadly forcing some bad sportsmanship upon us from other exhibitors but all you can do it keep enjoying yourself and focusing on my gorgeous fur kids.

Friday we attended the Marburg Show (which is actually my hometown) under judge Mr G. Ness. "Maui" Aust Ch. Jonja Finders Keepers (Imp NZ) obtained his final points needed for his title winning Best of Breed, his daughter "Winter" Kimyata I Choo Choo Choose You was Runner Up Best of Breed, Bitch CC and Minor In Group (against some stiff comp) and our newest addition "Molly" Coleisha Good Golly Miss Molly was Baby of Breed. Was a lovely day at the cutest country show around.

Our cheeky "Cyan" Aust Ch. Kimyata Magic Dirt

Saturday we headed to Crows Nest (just outside Toowoomba) under judge Ms D. Norman. There was an impressive entry of Japanese Spitz entered with our gorgeous "Cyan" Aust Ch. Kimyata Magic Dirt winning a 12pt Best of Breed, her daughter "Winter" Kimyata I Choo Choo Choose You won Reserve Challenge Bitch, "Molly" won another Baby of Breed and "Maui" won Reserve Dog CC and Intermediate in Group. I was very chuffed with the results, but especially chuffed with "Cyan" as this was her first show back into the ring since her litter born late 2010. Actually on a funny note it was Ms D. Norman who gave Cyan her final points before she went on maturnity leave on 8th May 2010 and then she gave her her first points back into the ring on the 7th May 2011. :))

Kimyata Puddle O Mud... also represented (another Ch Kimyata Spirited Away son) Esilanna Shiro Mashumaro and Oreo’s grandson “Maui” Jonja Finders Keepers (Imp NZ)... Proud MUM!!

26/06/2010 – Woodford Show Society today on the Sunshine Coast, with a lot of the regular crowd from Durack... PLUS some nice results for us! "Oreo" Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud won Best of Breed against some nice competition and then "Maui" Jonja Finders Keepers (Imp NZ) won the Runner Up Best of Breed and also went on to take Intermediate in Group under Mr G. Treacy (VIC) - Yay!! The judge really took to "Maui" (commenting on his wonderful coat quality) and I think "Oreo" was lucky to grab the Best of Breed from his Grandson with the judge watching "Maui" very closely. :)

"Maui" wins another Class in Group!!!

Mum also won Best of Breed CKCS with "Denver" Aust Ch. Barlency Country Mile and went on to take Intermediate in Group with him... unluckily R/Up Best in Show came out of Intermediate class, so we went no further but it would have been nice to be in the ring at the same time as Mum. :)

13/06/2010 – International show weekend at Durack, the Winter Carnival, and "Maui" time to shine... Winning Reserve Dog CC and R/Up Best of Breed (beating his Granddaddy"Oreo") under Judge was Mrs D Powell (South Africa)... Way to go Maui and his handler Ash!!

30/05/2010 – Enjoyed a great showing weekend away with family, friends and fur kids... with some awesome results!! "Oreo" Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud won Best of Breed on Saturday at Gin Gin Show Society under Mrs C. Butler (NSW) and not to be outdone "Maui" Jonja Finder Keepers (Imp NZ) won Intermediate in Group the same day. On Sunday at Isis & Dist Canine Club show "Oreo" Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud won RUBOB and Open in Group under Mr L. Butler (NSW).

"Maui" on the way to his Intermediate in Group!

Mr L. Butler (NSW) was a bit of a Spitz-o-maniac... he went crazy in the group awards with Japs, Germans and the Skippies winning all the classes in group. The judge actually approached us after judging commenting on the quality of JS presented and how much of a hard time he had separating the 3 males for Dog CC, he said in the end he really had to nit-pick choosing Saab for his energy but felt overall Oreo was more correct.  He also said that he intended to follow up Saab's Best in Group with awarding Oreo Reserve in Group (which I wondered if this was the case as he really stared at Oreo) but last second questioned himself for putting up too many spitz as he knew what he intended to do for the rest of the group... it would have been lovely to have the two of them go through, but still lovely to get such positive feedback.

Nice weekend away, staying with good friends in Bundaberg for this double show weekend... also a little spoilt with some wine and homemade passionfruit cheesecake (mmmmm). I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere you get at these away shows, people are a lot friendlier and more encouraging.

"Oreo" enjoying being back in the ring...

"Oreo" Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud is now the No. 3 Japanese Spitz in QLD (BOB) on the DOL Pointscore, I am very happy with this result as we only re-entered the ring in Mid March, and he is already catching up to those at the top!! I love showing Oreo and am really happy with his results recently, proving he still has what it takes at 7 years of age!

21/05/2010 – Check out our new advertisement in DogNews Australia Japanese Spitz Feature- http://www.dognewsaustralia.com.au

16/05/2010 – GREAT results from Gold Coast double header show today, 10 Japanese Spitz entered and that's with no babies... "Oreo" Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud proves that like a fine wine he improves with age by winning Dog CC & Best of Breed at Show #1 under Mr G Burgess , Reserve Dog CC & Runner Up Best of Breed at this show was "Saab" GR Ch. Esilanna WasabiSan OCheeko. The young ones also received some nice results including "Cyan" Aust Ch. Kimyata Magic Dirt winning Reserve Bitch CC and Intermediate of Breed and "Kyza" Esilanna Shiro Mashumaro winning Junior of Breed.

Show #2 under judge Mr K Lovell (VIC) we shared again similar results Best of Breed was "Saab" GR Ch. Esilanna WasabiSan OCheeko and Reserve Dog CC & Runner Up Best of Breed was "Oreo" Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud. Intermediate of Breed this time was "Maui" Jonja Finders Keepers (Imp NZ) and "Kyza" Esilanna Shiro Mashumaro was again Junior of Breed.

I think both judges did a great job by managing to keep the results in the family, with all the above mentioned dogs related.

08/05/2010 – My beautiful girl "Cyan" Kimyata Magic Dirt received the final points for her Australian Championship title today at Munburrera Show Society under judge Ms Dianne Norman winning Best of Breed and State-Bred in Group!

"Cyan" has had a great show career to date winning many Best of Breeds and Nice Challenges (Including a 9 point Challenge from Puppy Class)... she is also a Multi Class in Group and Class in Show winner. We are very proud of her achievements, she really is my spoilt little princess. "Cyan" is the daughter of our boy "Oreo" Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud.

*NEW* Aust Ch. Kimyata Magic Dirt

24/04/2010 – Caboolture Kennel Club show and what a wet event... was sitting in a gazebo with 2” of water in the bottom of it after a strong downpour of rain at the commencement of the show. I decided to brave the water and show my two JS for Best of Breed with “Oreo” Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud & Bitch CC with “Cyan” Kimyata Magic Dirt under Judge Mr R. Findlow (NSW). The fur kids weren’t too keen on the puddles in the ring, so nothing further in group, but they were better off than me in their warm trolley all clean and dry... I was very happy to get home and get myself dry after a day with wet feet.

11/04/2010 – Pine Rivers Kennel Club... was hot hot hot!! “Oreo” Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud was Dog CC and R/UP Best of Breed under Judge Mrs D Duffin (VIC).  I enjoyed a nice lazy day out with good friends and my fur kids!!

28/03/2010 - My Mum (Kahleyvale Cavaliers) and I decided to go on abit of a road trip to Gladstone for a nice showing weekend, Gladstone is a decent 7 hours drive from home. I was very happy with my results from the weekend... On the Saturday “Cyan” Kimyata Magic Dirt was Best of Breed and “Maui” Jonja Finders Keepers (Imp NZ) took out the Dog CC and R/Up Best of Breed. On the Sunday “Oreo” Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud was Best of Breed and “Cyan” Kimyata Magic Dirt R/Up Best of Breed... “Cyan” also won her class in Group BOTH days against some nice competition - Yay!!

Kimyata Magic Dirt and I in the Best in Group line-up

13/03/2010 - Our first show back for 2010, after a break from the ring and our stunning boy "Oreo" Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud wins Best of Breed at Oakey Show Society under judge Mrs M Rose (QLD), there was a nice entry of Japanese Spitz on the day... so an excellent entry back into the ring.

We decided to take a break from the ring last year as the atmosphere surrounding the showing of the Japanese Spitz (possibly showing in general) was getting to intense for my liking. So after a nice long break from the ring, we now hope to get back into the swing of things and enjoy showing again, and hopefully ignore those who take things too far when it comes to the competitive side of our hobby.

"Oreo" Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud

January 2010 - After a much earnt break from the ring in 2009 and an overseas adventure in Europe and the UK, we plan to get back into the swing of things in 2010.

Please keep an eye out for "Maui" Jonja Finder Keepers (Imp NZ) being exhibited by our good friend Ash Maclot... Ash is new to our wonderful breed and I wish her all the best of luck with "Maui".

And also watch out for our gorgeous "Cyan" Kimyata Magic Dirt, who needs those last few points to finish off her Championship title... "Cyan" was hard to beat when being strongly campaigned, lets hope she continues in that style when she makes her re-entrance in March 2010.

August 2009 - This year we have really cut back on the amount of shows we are doing to focus on other parts of our life, which is the reason I don't have much to boast about!!! In the little shows we have participated in for 2009 my dogs have consistantly been well prized!

We do however still have Kimyata connections flying the flag for our team including QLD No. 1 Japanese Spitz for 2008 and leading 2009 "Ch. Esilanna WasabiSan O Cheko" (pictured above) taking 2 x Exhibit in Group and 2 Runner-Up Best Exhibit in Group award so far in 2009... Remember to keep an eye out for his full brother "Esilanna Shiro Mashumaro" now just moving up into the Minor Dog class and what a stunner he is proving to be!!!

06/12/08 - What a finish to the 2008 show scene... Jonja Finders Keepers (Imp NZ) "Maui" at only his second show in minor class wins BEST OF BREED from a nice entry of Japanese Spitz sand then goes on to take out MINOR IN GROUP!! We could not have been prouder of our little man, it is not easy beating maturer and heavier coated dogs from only 6 months of age but he did it!! Way to go Maui!!!

We have had an awesome showing year in 2008 - with many CLASS in SHOW, CLASS IN GROUP, ROYAL SHOW wins... and this is from the young kids. Bring on 2009 when the youngsters step up to the plate in the big leagues!!!

15/11/08 - This weekend we travelled over the border to Banglow in NSW, it is an absolutely stunning area with gorgeous rolling hills right to the Ocean... Jonja Finders Keepers (Imp NZ) "Maui" won another Baby in Group, this is now his 9th Baby in Group award with 2 Baby in Show awards... Maui moves up with the big kids as of the 28th November and has his last show in baby next weekend but he has had an exceptional show career with an impressive tally. Brag Brag <lol> The judge for Group 7 was Mr K. Iggelden who is abit of a Spitz-o- maniac, so is one to add to your judges list.

03/11/08 - Did an away show this last weekend at Maryborgough about 4.5 hour drive for Mum and I, it was a double show which meant camping over night and no sleep. <lol>

On the Saturday our judge was Mrs A Collyer (NSW).Jonja Finders Keepers (Imp NZ) "Maui" won another Best Baby in Group (a great acheivment I think because he is all legs at the moment <lol>), he also won 2nd Place in the Baby Sweepstakes under Mr W Burton for (NSW). Mrs Collyer was a bit of a Spitzmaniac and awarded 3 JS their class in Group and 3 Schipperkes their Class in Group.

Off topic brag my Mum titled another homebred champion Cavalier King Charles Spaniel this weekend and did it in style take out a 25 point Best of Breed then onto Best in Group. "Summer" completes 3 Generations of homebred champions for my Mum with "Summer's"
son "Brock" getting his title last month in the same style - a Best in Group!! So a BIG WoooHooo to Mum. :)

03/11/08 - Had 3 shows this weekend, 2 Champs and an Open Show all at Durack! It was a very humid day raining on and off... so not the best weather to keep the Japanese Spitz feet clean. :)

Saturday show "Maui" Jonja Finders Keepers (Imp NZ) took out another Baby in Group in the Open Show under Mrs S. Taylor... but missed the Championship show to a very cute 3 month old Shar-Pei handled by Krystal Houldsworth.

On the Sunday Show I actually had "Oreo" Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud entered for a bit of a day out for him, I have only lightly shown him this year to concentrate on his children and grandchild, and was VERY pleased to have him take out the Best of Breed award under Mrs ML Davis. "Maui" also went on to take out another Baby in Group...

04/10/08 - "Maui" Jonja Finders Keepers (Imp NZ) added another Baby in Group to his collection today with Best Baby in Group at the Dog of the Year Support Committee Show under judge Ms K. Tosi (QLD)... he is truely on a roll taking his tally to 2 BABY IN SHOW and 5 BABY IN GROUP wins. "Maui" is starting to go through his "leggy teenage stage" but that doesn't seem to be stopping him... the judges just love him!! Maui is pictured above with his Grand-dad Oreo "Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud!!

26/09/08 - This year I made the trip down to the Melbourne Royal Show... I try to do a big event every year to get an idea of what other Japanese Spitz are being shown around Australia, as well as meet all new people. Again our trip to Melbourne was a successful one with "Oreo" Aust / NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud" winning RESERVE CHALLENGE DOG against some stiff competition … The breed entry was 26 so a nice turnout for the breed! Oreo hasn't been shown much in recent times and as always shows his little heart out for me – I was very proud!

I also took my young girl "Cyan" Kimyata Magic Dirt down for the trip... she showed beautifull but having just turned 12 months she was out of her league against the much maturer girls in her class but still placed in her large class which I was very happy with!! Cyan is pictured above - Happy to be home!

I stayed with Pam Taylor of Gelndaruel Japanese Spitz and it was great to see the generations down of Japanese Spitz from my lines, as well as see my girl "Gin" Kimyata Tailor Made who is just a stuning young bitch...

21/09/08 - "Maui" adds another Best Baby in Group to his collection at the Maree Kennel Club at Durack Showground. The day was a real stinker (HOT) with storms developing in the afternoon which meant it was HOT and STICKY all day!!!

Maui continued his winning way again today... First he was entered in the Baby Sweepstakes under Mrs Dickensen-Franks (NSW) (was supposed to be Mr I. Hinde(VIC)) with a huge baby entry of 40+ Babies with the judging stretching out for 1 hour... Maui was shortlisted into the Top 8 babies but refused to stand any longer in the sun and was trying to get into my shadow <lol> so he missed the top 3 cut...
still a great achievement I think.

Maui went on to take his 4th Baby in Group in a row again yesterday, the judge Mr MR LeCussan (NSW) was very taken with Maui and didn't even watch any other babies in Group. Maui went no further in show this time, Mr LeCussan also did general specials and commented to me while on the table that Maui had won Baby in Group easily, and that he was "in the mix" for Baby in Show. Always nice to be some feedback.

Cyan who has been on a bit of a roll lately, behaved very naughty yesterday and basically gave away her chances, she decided that she
would crab instead of walking properly <grr>, she pulled herself together for Puppy in Group and got a second glance from the judge
but he already knew who he wanted (which he did with every class and I think is nice to see).

13/09/07 - Another GREAT weekend for Kimyata…Today was the Allora Kennel Club show under Judge Miss J. Ainscow (Sunmist Samoyeds), 5 Japanese Spitz present. Challenge Bitch and Best of Breed went to my young girl "Cyan" Kimyata Magic Dirt (pictured above) with Dog Challenge & RU Best of Breed going to her brother "Tosh" Kimyata Australian Idol. Baby of Breed was "Maui" Jonja Finders Keepers (Imp NZ) (pictured top winning his prize) … Cyan went on to take Puppy in Group and Maui went on to take BABY IN SHOW!!! As you can imagine I am very proud of his results… this is his second IN SHOW, again with comments from both judges stating he is a true showman. General Specials judge was Mrs. K. Eldred (NSW) which is a familiar name amongst JS results. However Cyan was a bit unlucky having to follow out Maui as her chances were lessened (with RUBIS also going to a Non Sporting dog) but she did behave beautifully and showed her heart out…

07/09/08 - Exciting results for my dogs this weekend... Our new boy "Maui" Jonja Finders Keepers (Imp NZ) (pictured above) was awarded Best Baby in Group and BEST BABY IN SHOW at the Pine Rivers Kennel Club Open Show (400 Entry) and he also took the Baby in Group award at the Championship show under Mr Findlow (NSW)... he was also the only Baby to make it back into the In Show line up both shows. So I was very excited with his results. He really shows his little heart out and won more fans again ringside yesterday, with the champ judge commenting on his showmanship. :)

On the Saturday at Beaudesert Show Society it was my young girl Cyan "Kimyata Magic Dirt" turn to shine winning a 9pt Challenge Bitch against some nice competition. She was awarded the Reserve Bitch CC on the Sunday again also; she is only 11 months old and is really starting to tread on the older girls heels.

Another brag... Congratulations to Tanya & Takashi "Kimyata Chihu Takashi" in North Qld for another great weekend of results with a 1st Place in Baby Sweepstakes and 2 more Reserve Baby in Groups to add to the collection. :) Takashi is doing exceptionally well with his new owner, and we are both very excited to watch his development.

31/08/08 - Our first show out since after the Royal and what great results we had!! This was "Maui's" first show and we were super happy with his results... "Maui" was awarded 2nd BABY PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES under judge Ms G. Goller (Qld) over 20 other babies (and some steep compeition), he really created a BUZZ around the ring with heaps of people approaching my Mum and myself to gush about how wonderful Maui was!! Very proud!!! Not to be outdone, "Cyan" took to the stage and was awarded Reserve Bitch Challenge (very close to taking the Bitch Challenge award - give her another 2 months) and then went on to take RUNNER UP BEST OF BREED under Mrs T. McDonald ... both these awards were acheived over mature and titled competition so I was very proud... Obviously Cyan was a judge favourite (having awarded her highly before) but sadly Cyan wouldn't stand still for her Class in Group with something really smelling on the ground in front of her and was beaten by the Dalmation - BUGGER!!! That would have been the icing on the cake but a great day was had by all!!!

23/08/08 - Congratulations to Tanya Philips and Kimyata Chihu Takashi on being award BEST BABY IN GROUP on your first show together - under judge Mr. T. McDonald!!!! Takashi has set off on a show career in Far North Qld and we wish Tanya and him all the best... The make a super show team and I think there will be alot more exciting results to come.

17/08/08 - HE HAS ARRIVED!!!  It is with great excitement that we announce the arrival of our FIRST IMPORT Jonja Finders Keepers who arrived late Sunday night from a snowing New Zealand. “Maui” is just the most gorgeous little fellow… My first impressions of him was a demanding bark to be let out of the crate and then just a bundle of fearless energy that came tumbling out… he also gives the most gorgeous little snuggles!!

"Maui" as he is known to his friends is our handsome Oreo’s grandson… It was our hope to get a puppy from Oreo when he was in New Zealand in 2006 but this never eventuated… now we have a gorgeous Grandson out of Oreo’s daughter Fudge “NZ Ch. Mondail Cookies and Cream”. Oreo’s daughter Fudge has had an exceptional show career to date taking her first Best of Breed from Baby Class and Multiple Best in Group and Class in Show awards… we hope her son will follow in suit!!

Big Thank-you goes to Jane Faulkner for allowing me to have little “Maui” and sending me such a promising little fellow… I am looking forward to showing him soon!

16/08/08 - The Brisbane Royal has now been and gone for another year… I was very happy with my results again this year with Cyan “Kimyata Magic Dirt” taking one of the Top Awards on the day Champion Puppy of Breed under Japanese judge Mr H. Kamisato. There was a decent entry in the Breed this year with a lot of people coming out of the woodwork for the event. Cyan qualified to attend the General Specials day and compete for Champion Puppy in Group… a great thrill as the Grandstand was packed full of spectators. I was very proud to be 1 of only 2 Japanese Spitz that exhibited on the General Specials day, and I really think Cyan did the breed proud… she held herself together brilliantly and showed beautifully for a 10 month old bitch! I on the other hand was a nervous wreck, worsened by the fact that Cyan was a JUDGE FAVOURITE!! The judge was VERY taken with her… a great credit as the judge was again from Japan - Mr Katsumi Nakano.

The following day was the Gundog and Heavy Breeds Club of QLD show where Oreo took Runner-Up Best Exhibit in Group last year… always a large event following the Ekka General Specials. Not as a successful day for us this year, Cyan still managed to win her Class in Breed and got a very nice looks for Puppy in Group, she behaved beautifully and just stood superbly … but the judging was very facey which is always disappointing – with the who’s who taking out the big prizes!!! Always next time…

27/07/08 - This weekend we attended the Ladies Kennel Association of Qld double header show at Durack… I only had my two young girls “Cyan” & “Cherri” entered with some nice results from the weekend. “Cyan” was awarded a Reserve CC over the weekend as well as being VERY close to taking the Bitch CC on the Sunday against a nice entry of bitches, the judge just STARED at Cyan and really took her time deciding on the Bitch CC… it was very close and I think give her a few more months (she is only 9 months old) and she will be one to beat!!
20/07/08 - WoooHooo!!! Congratulations to Pam Taylor and her young girl “Gin” Kimyata Tailer Made on obtaining Australian Champion status.  “Gin” has done exceptionally well in the ring to date, taking Multiple Best of Breed awards over older and titled competition since her first show in Minor…. and at just over 13 months of age her title is an excellent achievement!!  Congratulations…. I look forward to seeing my young girl again in September when we attend the Melbourne Royal Show in Victoria.

17/05/08 - “Cyan” is again awarded Best Bitch Challenge and this time BEST OF BREED at the Brookfield Show. We also had some wonderful photographs taken of Cyan and her brother Bundy which will be updated shortly.

This is our last show until June, with a well deserved rest from the ring.

12/05/08 - It is with sadness that I inform everyone that today our beautiful "Kyra" passed away suddenly from an aggressive and imperceptible form of cancer. She was only 5 years old!

Kyra had only recently returned home to retire with us after being successfully shown by Pam Taylor in Victoria.  Kyra had the most stunning temperament and was always there for a cuddle… she fit in easily as part of the family and will be GREATLY missed by all! Kyra left us one parting gift… a litter of gorgeous babies (only 5 weeks old). Rest in piece our special girl!

03/05/08 - What a day for the Japanese Spitz breed and what a day for Kimyata! This weekend was the Asian Breeds Club Show of QLD under judge Ms L. Norman (VIC) and my kennel received some WONDERFUL results.

There was a large number of Japanese Spitz entered (10) with most exhibitors in Queensland present... Best of Breed & Best Bitch Challenge was awarded to Cammie "Ch. Kimyata Spirited Away", Cammie also went on to take BEST INTERMEDIATE IN SHOW (pictured above). But that was just the start of what was a very successful day, our young girl “Cyan”"Kimyata Magic Dirt" also took out BEST MINOR IN SHOW and was awarded 1st Place in the Puppy Sweepstakes under Mrs. T. McDonald. I think Ms L. Norman was very taken with her as I had barely stopped and staked Cyan when the judge was already walking up to award her!

Kimyata also was very prominent in the breed results with Oreo "Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud" taking Reserve Dog Challenge and Cammie's son winning Best Dog Challenge and Runner-Up Best of Breed.

The judge later commented that it was excellent to see Japanese Spitz coming down in size and being more correct. She was very happy with what she saw. An excellent day was had by all...

Please enjoy the footage of the show below, it is not the best quality but you get the idea... I am the one in the skirt with blonde hair. :)

05/04/08 - Today we attended the Nanango show with some nice results... I only showed the one japanese Spitz as our gorgoeus girl "Cyan" had an unset stomach and was feeling abit down. The star of the day was "Tosh" who after having a run of being beaten by his sister for Baby of Breed attended his first show in Puppy Class and was awarded Resever Dog Challenge and BEST PUPPY IN GROUP under judge Mr Mr. T.M. Horchner (Vic.)! I was very proud with how he showed and he never stopped smiling. :)

30/03/08 - What a start!! This weeekend we had the Sunshine Coast Kennel Club show under New Zealand Judge Mrs Y. Smith with some lovely results..."Cyan" Kimyata Magic Dirt, who has just gone up into Minor Puppy Class, was awarded Bitch Challenge, Runner Up Best of Breed and MINOR PUPPY IN GROUP only out beaten for Best of Breed by her handsome daddy "Oreo" Aust/NZ Ch. Kimyata Puddle O Mud. Judge was Mrs Y. Smith (NZ)

"Cyan" showed wonderfully for the "In Show" line-up (apart from the occasion hope skip and jump - typical spitz) watching my every move, and standing like a statue... I couldn't have been prouder. The general specials judge was Mrs S. Barrett (NZ) and she gave "Cyan" a VERY good look but was piped at the post by the Staffie. There is always next time...

08/03/08 - "Cyan" does it again proving she has what it takes winning BEST BABY IN GROUP at Pittsworth Show Society under judge Ms K. Tosi (Qld). "Cyan" really gets out there and strutts her stuff beautifully, she just has the "IT" factor. I am very excited to see what the future holds for her and her gorgeous brothers!!!

27/02/08 - My fur kids and I have taken a few weekends off showing recently in order to move into our new place... We have acquired a beautiful property on large acreage with a dam and plenty and room for the Japanese Spitz to play and stretch their legs. I will try to get some piccies of the spitz enjoying their new found space in the coming weeks... but for now their is plenty to unpack!

We have only done a handful of shows so far in 2008 and I have been concentrating on my younger babies... The results recently have been consistent with "Cyan" beating her brothers in her last 2 outings!!!

We have some exciting shows coming up in the future... please keep checking back to see our results!!

12/01/08 - "Tosh" again takes out another Baby of Breed at that Darling Downs Kennel Club show [CH] under Judge Miss D Cuthbert (SA)... while not to be outdone "Cyan" proves she has what it takes winning BABY IN GROUP at the Open show against a nice entry of bubs under judge Mr A Brown. Cyan truly strutted her stuff in the General Specials ring and it was lovely to hear people outside the ring saying "the spitz" to win... the judge also commented how happy she was. I couldn't be prouder of how well she went!!

06/01/08 - WoooHooo WHAT A YEAR!! Oreo has finished 2007 as the #1 JAPANESE SPITZ MALE IN QLD & THE #5 JAPANESE SPITZ IN AUSTRALIA on the Dogzonline Pointscore (http://www.dogzonline.com.au/showdog2007/topbybreed.asp?breed=1060)!

I am very proud of Oreo’s achievement throughout 2007… after returning from a year long trip to New Zealand in 2006 where he was UNBEATEN for Best of Breed; Oreo’s winning run didn’t stop there… Oreo took out 21 Best of Breeds and 29 Dog CC (Championship Shows Only) in 2007 with a further 12 RU Best of Breeds alot of these being from Reserve CC … and this is from a mere 40 odd shows we attended through 2007 making only 8 shows where Oreo wasn’t in the winner circle!!! No bad hey!!

Some of his impressive results include Best of Breeds and RU Best of Breed at some of Australia’s & Queensland’s biggest shows:
• Best of Breed - Adelaide Autumn International [Day 1] Mr C. Stefanescu (Romania)
• RU Best of Breed - Adelaide Autumn International [Day 2] Mr S. Hanaue (Japan)
• Best of Breed - Adelaide Autumn International [Day 3] Mr D. Markus (Canada)
• Best of Breed - Royal Canine Autumn Classic [Day 2 AM] Mr A. Johnson (WA)
• RU Best of Breed - Royal Canine Autumn Classic [Day 2 PM] Mrs J. Kirin (ACT)
• Best of Breed and Australian Bred in Group - IKC "Winter Carnival" Mr D. Harrison (Sth Africa)
• Best of Breed - Western Suburbs Kennel Club "Winter Carnival" Mr Tan Oo Hock (Malaysia)
• Dog CC & RU Best of Breed - Victorian Spitz Breeds Club Mrs W. Slatyer (NSW))
• Best of Breed - Beaudesert Kennel Club Mr S Shen (Singapore)

With his most impressive show win for 2007 being RUNNER-UP BEST IN GROUP & AUSTRALIAN BRED IN GROUP at the Gundog & Heavy Breeds Club of Qld under Mrs C. Byrnes-Suchy (NSW) held at Durack with a group entry of over 100.

2008 will be the year where Oreo takes the back seat while his first Australian litter takes to the ring… He has 3 beautiful babies who hopefully will be following in his Dad’s foot steps.

PLUS

Astryd too has had a successful 2007 taking out the #1 JAPANESE SPITZ PUPPY IN QLD on the Dogzonline Pointscore (http://www.dogzonline.com.au/showdog2007/topbybreed.asp?breed=1060)!

Although still young and lacking the finish of older bitches (plus a litter in the later part of 2007), Astryd has still managed to take a number of Bitch CC’s, Reserve CC and Runner-Up Best of Breeds over both mature and titles dogs and bitches – taking her closer to her Australian Championship title. Not to mention the multiple championship show Class in Group wins she has under her belt and she has not long entered the Junior Class… Hopefully 2008 will be her year!!

I cannot wait to see what 2008 hold for us!!!

....

01/01/08 - The babies had their first show last night at the Dog of the Year Support Committee show held at Durack... I could not have been prouder with how they went. It appears event he raing couldn't put a damper on the puppies attitudes with Baby of Breed going to "Tosh" who also beat out both his brother and sister for the prize. The bubs really got out there and strutted their stuff like old pros... I do hope they continue in this fashion!!

The show was also the first show for Stefan and his baby "Bundy" Kimyata Midnight Oil... they both did very well for their first outing and made a great team! Watch out for them practising in the ring together more in 2008!!
